Hello everyone

I'm Mara, a passionate designer with a big dream that began early in life.

FASHION HAS ALWAYS BEEN FUN FOR ME AND INSPIRED MY LIFE. 

At the age of 12, it was my biggest dream to design wedding dresses, but life had other exciting paths in store for me. What has never changed, however, is my deep love for fashion, which has only grown stronger over the years. In 2023, I finally made the decision to start my own label: **MARA1998** – a name that carries my birth year and represents the close connection to my creative journey.  

With a lot of passion **AND A SMALL TEAM OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS**, we developed a clear vision for our brand. MARA1998 stands for free-spirited and relaxed styles. Our clothing pieces reflect an unbound lifestyle and are meant to inspire you to discover new places. Under the motto **"Take me to your favourite places"**, we want to create fashion that not only convinces with its aesthetics but also with its quality and durability.  

For us, fashion is more than just clothing – it is an expression of personality and individuality. That’s why we place great value on selecting high-quality materials and the careful craftsmanship of our collections, which are made with love in a small production facility in Portugal. Only natural fibers make their way into our designs, because sustainability and quality are not compromises for us – they are essential. Each collection is developed in close collaboration with a small, experienced team, and we personally visit the production site to ensure every detail is just right.  

But the idea behind MARA1998is more than just a fashion label. It is a growing community of people inspired by OUR VISION to discover their own favorite places and share them with others. MARA1998 represents an imaginary place where people meet, inspire each other, and build a community based on appreciation and connection.  

Our goal is to encourage you to explore the world with open eyes, step out of your comfort zone, and embrace new adventures. But “favourite places” doesn't only mean exotic travel destinations – it can also be your personal retreat or time spent with your best friends. In everything we do, we want to share that feeling of connection that accompanies us all on this journey.
